Award-winning Head Chef

Hailing from a small town in the countryside of England, Chef Brett Russell’s culinary journey has taken him across the globe, combining his love for travel and exceptional talent. Having worked in Australia, Spain, and his native England, Brett has gained a wealth of experience at some of the world's top kitchens.

Brett's dedication and skill have been recognized with multiple awards, including 2 AA rosettes, the Fine Dining Chef of the Year at the Gloucestershire Food and Drinks Awards and Chef of the Year at the Cotswolds Life Food and Drinks Awards. His restaurant, Tierra & Mar in Cirencester, has also garnered numerous local and national nominations, reflecting his reputation for excellence.

Prior to launching his own restaurant, Brett sharpened his skills in prestigious Michelin-starred establishments such as Restaurante Riff in Valencia, Monastrell in Alicante, and Es Racó d'es Teix in Mallorca, along with renowned venues across England and Australia.

His lifelong dream has always been to create a fresh seafood restaurant, and now, in Altea and La Maja, he’s realizing that vision—bringing a passion for fine seafood and innovative cuisine to the vibrant community he loves.
